W. Cagney McCormick is a native of the South Dallas area, growing up in Ellis County, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and attended evening classes at St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio while working full-time at Dell Inc. During this time, he completed a thesis on cybersecurity law, which was later published by Southern Methodist University School of Law, and gained additional experience at the school’s Center for Terrorism Law.
Upon returning to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Mr. McCormick established the McCormick Law College Scholarship Program, beginning at Waxahachie High School in 2016. Each year, deserving students who attend the University of Texas at Austin are awarded scholarships through this program.
Now a resident of California, Oklahoma, and Texas, Mr. McCormick travels across the country advocating for injured clients, committed to going wherever necessary to secure justice.
